Well, the Oracle of Ages page has been updated again, this time with an introduction. I'm currently working on the media. That's really all for now.
--- InformeroftheSages Guess what? The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages page is up! Woohoo! The links on the website will be updated shortly.
Thank you for your continuing patience. --- InformeroftheSages I know my updating schedule has been very off track lately. I just want to let you know that I'm back on schedule. Well, when writing this, it seems pretty boring and empty so far right? Well, let's see where I can take this rant.
If there is one thing I've always wanted in videogames it's the console classics on Gameboy. No, no, by classics I don't mean what Nintendo is doing (reincarnating old NES games), I mean bringing back those classics. I remember when I had a Gameboy Pocket (that's right, the days of Black and White (man am I really that old?)!), I always wished that the game Super Mario World (for SNES) could come out on handheld. I mean, I absolutely adored that game. My only wish was for it to become portable. Sadly, my wishes were not granted, at least back then. Then the Gameboy Color (see! I'm not that old!) was released! Jump for joy everyone! I was so happy. I thought that my dreams would finally come true! But then.....the Gameboy Color era faded away too...and all my hope with it. My dreams however were not totally gone. They stayed in the back of my head, and I never noticed. So Gameboy Advance came out. I really was just looking forward to the new games (my hopes had been shattered and tucked away). So that lasted about a year. Then I'm over at a friends house and I just happen to look through a electronic magazine. Imagine my shock when I see a little picture of Mario riding Yoshi while the words, Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World shine out in size -.7 font. Yeah! I can remember prancing around at home reminding my parents that we needed to go to the store so I could get the game. I can even remember going to the store. Hmm...lets see..it was a rainy day and we went to the store at about 6. Yup! Well...so what if I left out some details! I was happy! Woohoo(okay enough of that)! Those are the classic games I am talking about! At this point in the rant, you're probably thinking, I didn't come here to read about some guy who loves some old SNES Mario game. Er well, just wait a few more minutes, it all ties together. See these are the classics that don't lose their replay value no matter how many times you play them! And of course, I mean Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask! I mean, I have played Ocarina of Time so many times through that I have lost count. And even still I can play it and have a good time (right, better get used to it Informer, you have a walkthrough to write (..ooh...I forgot about that!)!). So, er, what I am trying to say is: wouldn't you guys love to play those games on a Gameboy? And with the coming Nintendo: DS, that is certainly going to be possible (especially because the DS graphics are way better than N64 (in fact, everything is going to be better!)!) Although Nintendo said that they have no plan to re-re-re-release Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, I think it's time I sent them another letter :) I am so sorry for the lack of updates guys. My internet was down for a few days and in the end I had to reformat my computer (which as you can imagine, is not fun in the slightest). So after reinstalling everything I am tired and beat. Please do not complain about the lack of site content for the next few days otherwise I might just blow out. Er, and I have a new affiliate, Enter the Triforce. The link is under the Affiliation menu to your right. Enjoy!
Thanks for your cooperation. --- InformeroftheSages I was taking in my daily Zelda news when I came across something quite disturbing. It seems that Puissance-Zelda had stolen Melora's (Webmaster of History of Hyrule) translated manga. Now I know of course, visiting Zelda No Densetsu almost every day, that Melora put a lot of hard work into translating that manga and I feel that it is just wrong and plain rude to steal all of someone's hard work like that. As a result, Melora has temporarily closed History of Hyrule. I posted the link to the Manga under the Multimedia section for entertainment purposes. I thought other Zelda fans might enjoy looking at the hard work it took to bring the manga in a readable format to us. I guess I was wrong. I sure hope not. Puissance-Zelda didn't even give Melora any credit for it. They even removed the tags from the manga. That is wrong my friends. I would like each and every one of you who come read this rant to send an e-mail to Puissance-Zelda telling them how you feel about it. My hopes are to prevent anything like this from happening in the future. After all just like Zelda: The Grand Adventures stated(or at least something like this), we are all in the Zelda community together. If we lose our dignity, we lose everything we have.
And while you're at it, go ahead and e-mail Melora. Perhaps we can get her back soon. Thanks. --- InformeroftheSages *yawn* Wow, I am really tired....Well here's what's up. School's back in and as usual that means that I have less free time on my hands *yawn*. So updates will mainly be on weekends (at least until I catch a little more shut-eye). And if you guys want to know what I'm doing in my free time....I'm playing Tales of Symphonia of course! Anyway, there will be some site updates later today.
--- InformeroftheSages The great Camp Hyrule has finally come to an end...and it went out in style! Our Cabin still came in last place but....I don't think anyone cared, and those who did, are just whiners. I had the misfortune of missing the closing ceremony but one of my good friends Invader_Skooj will be giving the results to me tomorrow. And let me just say something about him. He is a great guy. If any of you guys out there have him in your Cabin next year, you are truly blessed. Skooj, thank you for making Camp Hyrule just wonderful.
To the people in Cabin 5....you guys are the greatest. I hope we end up together again next year. So, what else is going on here you ask? Well, I've got a new affiliate, Dinker N Linker, you can visit the site under the Affiliates menu to the right. His site reminds me of my first HTML site (which was so embarrassing it never went online). Dinker N Linker however, have done an exceptional job with their site. Check it out guys, it's well worth it. I have a lot of camp memories to share with you guys Skooj and I trying to seduce the NOA counselors) :) --- but I'll save those for my next rant. Once again Cabin 5,....you're the best. --- InformeroftheSages Yesterday wasn't totally bad...Our team is now 5 points behind 9th place, and 50 points behind 5th place. I'm confident that we can move up. The best part about yesterday had to be talking with NOA_MEG and NOA_TAYLOR-that was just plain cool :)
I also have a new Affiliate, Exploding Deku Nut. You can check out the site under the Affiliates section to your right. I'm still working on The Zelda Games, descriptions and such will be up soon. Other than that, not much going around here, perhaps another update later today? --- InformeroftheSages Well, Camp Hyrule started a while ago....I tried logging in on the first day but had computer problems....but not today! For those of you who haven't signed up, I'll tell you things from my point of view.
If you want to say something on the message boards, you have to say it fast>. I am in Cabin 5 (I logged in to find out we are in last place *sigh* >_>) and we have almost 22 people trying to talk at the same time. Things get chaotic. The challenges you get are sort of weird (distorting NOA counselors faces, making a Camp theme song...stuff like that) and crazy. Overall, it's pretty cool. My cabin mates are nice so everyone gets along. ....oh yeah, and it's been officially announced that Nintendo will re-release The Legend of Zelda: Adventure of Link as part of their 8-bit classic series for GBA (along with a few other titles) --- InformeroftheSages |
