I know my updating schedule has been very off track lately. I just want to let you know that I'm back on schedule. Well, when writing this, it seems pretty boring and empty so far right? Well, let's see where I can take this rant.
If there is one thing I've always wanted in videogames it's the console classics on Gameboy. No, no, by classics I don't mean what Nintendo is doing (reincarnating old NES games), I mean bringing back those classics. I remember when I had a Gameboy Pocket (that's right, the days of Black and White (man am I really that old?)!), I always wished that the game Super Mario World (for SNES) could come out on handheld. I mean, I absolutely adored that game. My only wish was for it to become portable. Sadly, my wishes were not granted, at least back then. Then the Gameboy Color (see! I'm not that old!) was released! Jump for joy everyone! I was so happy. I thought that my dreams would finally come true! But then.....the Gameboy Color era faded away too...and all my hope with it. My dreams however were not totally gone. They stayed in the back of my head, and I never noticed. So Gameboy Advance came out. I really was just looking forward to the new games (my hopes had been shattered and tucked away). So that lasted about a year. Then I'm over at a friends house and I just happen to look through a electronic magazine. Imagine my shock when I see a little picture of Mario riding Yoshi while the words, Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World shine out in size -.7 font. Yeah! I can remember prancing around at home reminding my parents that we needed to go to the store so I could get the game. I can even remember going to the store. Hmm...lets see..it was a rainy day and we went to the store at about 6. Yup! Well...so what if I left out some details! I was happy! Woohoo(okay enough of that)!
Those are the classic games I am talking about! At this point in the rant, you're probably thinking, I didn't come here to read about some guy who loves some old SNES Mario game. Er well, just wait a few more minutes, it all ties together.
See these are the classics that don't lose their replay value no matter how many times you play them! And of course, I mean Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask! I mean, I have played Ocarina of Time so many times through that I have lost count. And even still I can play it and have a good time (right, better get used to it Informer, you have a walkthrough to write (..ooh...I forgot about that!)!).
So, er, what I am trying to say is: wouldn't you guys love to play those games on a Gameboy? And with the coming Nintendo: DS, that is certainly going to be possible (especially because the DS graphics are way better than N64 (in fact, everything is going to be better!)!) Although Nintendo said that they have no plan to re-re-re-release Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, I think it's time I sent them another letter :)
